She then worked for eight years at The King’s Academy teaching middle school, supervising their students involved in the Palm Beach Science and Engineering fair, coaching volleyball, coaching academic teams in math and geography, and training other teachers to use curriculum mapping. She is presently accredited by the Florida Department of Education.
She has been married to Michael K. Wiggs (also a native of West Palm Beach) for 33 years and has four children Elizabeth, Emily, Garrett and Kathleen. Michael is a retired West Palm Beach Police Sargent and teaches part time at Palm Beach State College and Florida Public Safety Institute at Tallahassee Community College. She loves children and teaching them has been a true blessing in her life. She will continue to do so as long as the Lord permits.
